Here’s what to do right now while you get to us.
Rinse with warm water and floss gently around the tooth. Take an over-the-counter pain reliever as the label directs. Don’t put aspirin on the gum.
Save any pieces and rinse your mouth with warm water. Hold a cold compress to your cheek to keep swelling down.
Pick it up by the top, not the root. Keep it in milk and call us straight away: the sooner we see you, the better the chance of saving it.
A swollen gum or face can mean infection. Call us today, and don’t try to drain it yourself.
Keep the crown somewhere safe and bring it with you. Chew on the other side until we can repair it.
Pain and swelling at the back of the jaw often means a wisdom tooth is coming in or infected. We can relieve it and plan removal if needed.
Go to a hospital or call 911 instead if swelling spreads to your eye or neck, you have trouble breathing or swallowing, a high fever, or a jaw injury from an accident.
Call or send the form. We’ll ask a few quick questions and find you the earliest time.
We examine the tooth, take digital X-rays if needed, and treat the problem or relieve the pain first.
Before any further treatment, we explain your choices and what your insurance or CDCP will cover.
CDCP accepted. We help you use your Canadian Dental Care Plan coverage.
Direct billing. We bill most insurance plans directly, so you pay less up front.
Costs explained first. We review your benefits and expected costs before treatment.
Nervous? Sedation. Sedation options are available for anxious patients.
Patients tell us they feel calm and listened to, even when they come in hurting.
